My first attempt at making Spicy Pickled Okra. Mighty tasty, if I do say so myself. I used a mix of red and green okra, hence the rosy-hued liquid. Left me feelin' all pioneerish!
I'd be happy to share. This was much easier than canning fruit and such. You sterilize the jars before you fill them, but you don't have to do that whole processing bath afterwards, that's required for super long storage. The vinegar helps take care of bacteria, plus you keep them in the frig. and use them up within a month.
Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable. ~ Helen Keller
