AWAY FROM MY DESK
Guess who's guest blogging over at One Woman's Day today? Moi!
One Woman's Day is a wonderful new project, brought to you by my friends at Story Circle Network.
"Today a woman somewhere is laughing, weeping, grieving, or celebrating. Someone is giving birth; someone is losing a loved one to death. Relationships are forming, others are ending. For some this will be an ordinary day filled with many of the same activities as yesterday. For others, something unexpected will suddenly make this day unforgettable, one that they may tell their children and grandchildren about in the future. In the same way that we are curious about how our grandmothers lived, future generations will be interested in learning about what an ordinary day was like in our lives."
Every woman has a story to tell, and, as they say on TV, "these are their stories." Won't you please stop by?

Priscilla Lane: Wow. John must be living right! Have you figured out how to tie down your clothesline?

Becky Thomas Lane: That incident actually happened a while back. On One Woman's Day, you can submit old stories, or write new ones, but you have to give them the time of year that it actually occurred, and, if selected, that's when they post it. Anyway, I've piled a bunch of heavy stones on the base of the clothesline, but I'm afraid to try it again. It's been really, really windy the last week or so!
