Guess who joined the Wimberley Valley Art League a few weeks ago, then took a couple of his photos up to the Community Center this week to see if he could get one selected to be in their next juried art show?
And guess who ended up winning one of only nine prizes awarded, his first time out of the chute?
My Hubby, that's who!

Chip off the ole block!
Now that's cool! Congrats to John.
I always knew he had a hidden creative side. Most hubbies could care less how you decorate the house, but he always enjoyed being involved in those decisions, and if I dragged my feet too long, he'd go out and buy stuff on his own! Also, when I used to do garden design, I was all about the color and the plants, but sometimes got hung up on the big picture and how to divide the space. Whenever I got stuck, he'd walk up, take one look at my layout, and say "Have you thought about doing this?", and BOOM, there it was. The perfect solution!
I'm telling ya, those engineers have a right-brain side too! Y'all are a perfect match!
Hubby once described a young fellow he was training as the best engineer he'd ever come across. When I asked him what attribute was most vital to achieving that greatness he said "Imagination!"
