Omigoodgollygosh! I thought about you all day today with that polar north wind blowing so hard; I'm so happy it wasn't raining too!
Well, y'all are out of the townhouse at last; bet you've got a mixed bag of feelings swirling around. Your entry's one sentence is exactly right: Baby steps for **everything**!
Hope John is there with you this evening and y'all are warm and cozy. Thank you for posting on such an auspicious day.
(For a kick, check out your Jan 20, 2010 post. Good guidance from yourself to yourself.)
Oh! After taking Musingegret's advice, I too read your post from last year; PERFECT!!
Try to find enjoyment in the freshness, the possibilities that exist in each room, and focus on that single room, focus on creating something new and beautiful...
ME: That's too funny! That's what actually crossed my mind when I was asking myself "OMG! Where do I start?" A voice in my head immediately answered "You'll take it one little step at a time, just the way you did with the Cantina Garden", but I had no idea that I had posted about that exactly one year ago to the day!
Laurinda: I usually love that part of moving too, but the problem is, this wasn't really a move, at least not for me. We've had two houses for the last six years, so I've already had the fun of decorating this one. Then both of my parents passed a way, so I had to find space here for all the stuff that came from their home, and we ended up a bit OVER-decorated. Now, on top of all that, we need to take all the contents of our Houston home and squeeze them into this one that's already full. It's just a bit much, but we'll figure it out one of these days.
Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable. ~ Helen Keller

WOW!!
Yes, baby steps is exactly it!!
I have always hated moving, but the unpacking part is ALWAYS the best...creating new in every inch of your new home...
Have fun with it!!
