In my humble opinion, 1971, my senior year in high school, was the greatest year in the history of music. What I'm wondering is this: Was the music great, because it was my senior year, or, was my senior year great, because of the music?
Darn you Becky! Never thought I'd be taking a slow stroll down memory lane (pardon the pun!) this a.m. but I just pulled up the Top 100 Hits 1971 and practically every title flashed a reminiscence postcard from the past.

Our senior class song was "It's Only Just Begun" and I don't even see it on the list! I was one of the 'geeky dork' girls in HS (before it was cool), but, geez, I wouldn't have it any other way. So many adventures awaited.
Anyway, as Bob Hope sang, "Thanks for the memories....."
Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable. ~ Helen Keller

Glad you enjoyed the trip! I was that girl in the Drama Club yearbook picture, wearing a beret!
