A PAUSE IN OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING

Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend. I've been in Houston helping John decide what comes to Wimberley, what goes to Goodwill, etc. The movers pack up the townhouse on the 19th! One bit of good news -- we found several boxes of old photos from that first stint overseas. Soon as I get them sorted and scan a few, you will get the rest of your Miss Becky Goes Abroad preview. I think this shot was taken in the gardens of the old Raffles Hotel in Singapore. I just adore all that British Colonial architecture!

My very first thought when I opened your post was "Raffles!!" Then I went back and found your entry of 1/26/10 and enjoyed again our discussion of Singapore Slings and Somerset Maughm. I also reveled in that beautiful collage you'd put together about ideas for the Cantina Garden. Becky, your blog really does provide ongoing pleasure. I'm thrilled about you finding the boxes of photos from first stint. You are **never** going to run out of blog fodder!!

Sounds like y'all are making serious headway in Houston---good for you. Sending y'all energy!

Speaking of Maughm, I was just flipping channels and noticed that there's a movie coming on at 7:30 tonight -- I think it's called Up At the Villa? -- based on a Somerset Maughm book. Thought I'd tune in and see what it's like.
