Becky, I am reading a book you need to read, if you haven't already. In Defense of Food, by Michael Pollin. It is about what has been done to our food by the food industry over the last 100 years - amazing and terrifying, all at the same time. I went to lunch today at the cafe at the HEB where I work and found myself looking around, thinking *There's nothing here I can eat*. If you've never been a label reader before, this will definitely make you one. I'd give anything to be closer enough to place a Bountiful Sprout order!

Both his books are on my reading list - just haven't gotten to them yet! Our greatest hope is that the Bountiful Sprout idea will spread and inspire other communities to launch something similar themselves, just as we were inspired by co-ops in Nebraska and Oklahoma.
