COLOR-MAD MURALS

One of the things I love most about our little town are the color-mad murals that keep popping up here and there. One of the first to appear was on Ino'z Brew 'n Chew, facing the bridge that crosses Cypress Creek.

Unfortunately, that location leaves it vulnerable to high-water events, and it lost a bit of its color-madness with each successive flood.

Or maybe this one in the Community Center came first. I'm not really sure.

Next came this one on Calley's Jewelry, located in a building that began life as a filling station.

Still a work-in-progress when I snapped this photo.

The latest additions were on the Boot Whisperer's shop...

and this one behind Santa Fe Connection. I seem to love each new addition even more than the last.

And, as I was scrolling through all of my photos to find these pics for you, I stumbled across this one...

of that half-painted cinderblock wall which I've successfully ignored for nigh on ten years now. And, it got me to thinkin', how cool would it be...?

Unfortunately, I don't have those kinds of skills, and I'm afraid I can't afford someone who does!
