GOOD LAUGHS, GOOD READS

Apparently someone forgot to grab his own sunglasses when we decided to take a jaunt in my little Mini the other day, rather than taking his Prius. Almost bust a gusset when I glanced over and found him sporting these.

You just gotta love a man whose confidence in his own masculinity is so unflappable, no?

In other news, I'm reading such a good book right now -- Me Before You, by Jojo Moyes. Can't hardly put it down! Outdoor Woman put me onto it, but refused to tell me anything about it. Her book club read it, and they were all advised not to even read the blurb on the jacket -- just jump right in and start reading. I advise you to do the same. You'll be hooked right from the get-go.

Come to think of it, why am I sitting here at the computer, when I could be in there reading instead? TTFN!

I put a hold on Me Before You. Have to be careful because I tend to end up reserving more than I can possibly read.
I have recently discovered you and have been enjoying your blog. It is like a grand reserve I can dip into at any time. Hope you can keep it up for a long time.

Diane, I can't believe I've been blogging for more than six years now (around 2,000 posts!) and still manage to find stuff to talk about -- especially when you consider that I've always been an introvert who never had much to say. Guess I'm making up for lost time! I really appreciate your stopping by and leaving comments -- makes it so much more fun for me!

Becky, just finished that book in my book club also.
Loved it! Now reading The Goldfinch by Donna a Tartt.

Let me know what you think of it. I haven't read that one yet. If I remember correctly, I read the jacket blurb and thought it might be too dark for me. My best friend couldn't believe I loved Me Before You, since I'm always telling her I don't do dark. But there's a difference between sad and dark. I can do sad if I like the characters and they have good intentions, but I can't handle evil and creepy people!
