FANTASTIC FOLIAGE

On her blog Digging, my friend Pamela asked "What foliage is memorable in your garden this week?"  Here are some of my favorites right now:

Red-Veined Sorrel
New Zealand Flax with Mexican Feather Grass and Purple Heart
Artemisia 'Oriental Limelight'
Miscanthus sinensis 'Gold Bar'
Tradescantia spathacea 'Vittata'
Heuchera
Pennisetum setaceum rubrum 'Fireworks'

I like all of your grasses, particularly that 'Gold Bar' miscanthus. It's nice to see them fluffing up again after the winter cut-back, isn't it?

This is the first time I have planted Gold Bar. I got tired of having to replace the purple fountain grass in one of my big pots every year, and was impressed by how cold tolerant this one is supposed to be.
