Are these plant supports from Gardener's Supply not the craziest things ever? I absolutely adore them! These spirals are for lightweight duty though. For my heavy stuff I went with their red tomato ladders, which are pretty groovy as well. I think every garden needs a bit of kink, don't you?

Are the deer still munching everything in sight?
They've only jumped the fence that one time so far. We'll see what happens next time I go to Houston, now that Lexi's moved out. If there's no one around for a few days, they might get brave again. I sprayed the perimeters with deer stop, but I'm pretty sure it washes away when it rains.
